I lead the art direction and production of photography for Microsoft’s global events, from the initial planning and visual approach through execution and final delivery.
For each event, I develop the photography strategy, build the brief and shot list, hire and direct the creative team, and work closely with event, brand, communications, and executive stakeholders to make sure the photography reflects both the experience in the room and the story Microsoft wants to tell.
The work spans everything from large-scale global events and executive moments to keynotes, product experiences, demos, attendees, and the details that bring an event to life. I’m involved on site throughout the production, directing photographers and editors and making real-time creative decisions as the story unfolds.
Beyond the photography itself, I designed and built a custom digital asset management system to bring Microsoft’s event photography into one searchable, organized library. I developed the structure, metadata, tagging strategy, and workflow behind the system, creating a way to organize tens of thousands of images by event, experience, people, and subject matter. The goal was simple: make the right image easier to find, while building a system that could scale with Microsoft’s growing global event program.
My role is a combination of art direction, planning, production, visual storytelling, and asset management with the goal of making every event feel distinct while creating a consistent visual language across Microsoft’s global event workstream.
